EIFF: closing gala night
Edinburgh International Film Festival closed with a final red carpet premiere which drew a host of top stars – and a stag party outing.
Janes Horrocks, Rupert Graves and Nathaniel Parker were among those at the opening night of Swimming with Men, a comedy directed by the BAFTA nominated Oliver Parker (Dorian Gray, An Ideal Husband).
It also stars Rob Brydon, Adeel Akhtar, Jim Carter and Daniel Mays who arrived at the Festival Theatre with his friends as part of his stag party celebrations.
Swimming with Men is set to be a summer comedy hit. Faced with a full-blown mid-life crisis, accountant Eric (Brydon) joins an all-male group of synchronised swimmers and discovers that making patterns in a pool can, for a couple of hours at least, give him escapism from the bumps in his work and marriage.
