Michelle Mone has revealed on social media that she’s engaged to billionaire boyfriend Doug Barrowman.
After two years together, the 47-year-old businesswoman, who in 2014 sold her remaining shares in lingerie company Ultimo, shared a photo of the couple together at home to announce the news.
She captioned the post: “I said YES” and included a ring emoji on the snap.
Lady Mone, who was elevated to the House of Lords by former Prime Minister David Cameron, has been with the 53-year-old since 2016, and has been living with him at his home in the Isle of Man.
They are both from Glasgow and between them they have seven children from previous relationships.
He reputedly owns 50 businesses and a private jet along with six homes, 15 cars and a 183ft yacht.
He is the founder and Chairman of Knox Group of Companies – an independent, dynamic group of businesses with assets under management and administration approaching £3billion.
It offers wealth planning, investment sourcing and fiduciary services to both corporate and personal clients, along with asset management, financial and family office services to an expanding client base.
However, he did not appear in The Sunday Times Rich List.
The pair launched a cryptocurrency business and have enlisted the support of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
Lady Mone has been heavily criticised for her poor attendance at the House of Lords.
