In the increasingly crowded craft beer market it is becoming more challenging to come up with something new. One Scottish brewer believes it has developed a new brew that will capture drinkers’ attention.
Brew Toon, a microbrewery and tap room in Peterhead, is debuting ‘Dark Nite’ vanilla milk stout, the latest in its growing line-up of beers and the first nitro beer to be brewed and bottled by a Scottish brewery.
Roasted malt and vanilla flavours create the foundation of this milk stout which will be released next month.
“We are very proud of Dark Nite and also very excited to finally get it out there,” said Cameron Bowden, Brew Toon general manager. “One of our core beliefs here at Brew Toon is innovation and we believe this to be our most innovative beer yet.”
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland, Brew Town is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to “Hunter & Sons – Tanfield Brewery”.
“This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today,” says Cameron.
“We’ve spent a lot of time working on bottling this nitrogen beer and being the first Scottish brewery to do so, we are excited to let the rest of Scotland join in on the nitro fun.
“The label will also have a scannable QR code taking drinkers to a dedicated web page, explaining the science behind the beer and the all important tutorial on how to pour it straight from the bottle.”
