Google’s Digital Garage in Edinburgh has closed its doors after a year helping individuals transform their personal and business ambitions.
Staff held a farewell breakfast ahead of the final free training sessions which included 50 members of the ethnic community.
More than 13,000 people have gone through the facility in Shandwick Place which adopted the theme of “…yet?”, prompted by questions such as “I haven’t started a business…yet.”
Ryan Gavan, one of the digital coaches since it opened last summer, has worked in communications for a range of organisations, including the Beano, the P&J and Wildlife Trust. He said: “In all my years in communications this is the best project I have worked on.
“We have seen people grow from not being able to use a computer to using analytics.”
The garage was the second in Scotland after Glasgow.
