Leith has no end of options for whatever sort of walk you want. A nip around the links, or a stroll around the old dock area with its mix of bars, coffee shops and restaurants.
Those of you working or living in Edinburgh’s West End and looking to stretch your legs for an hour might be tempted by a walk into Stockbridge along the Water of Leith. Weekend walkers also like the opportunity to stroll alongside the river and enjoy a browse around the Sunday market.
A walk down the Union Canal (well, not all of it) was a Sunday afternoon treat, so we headed for Fountainbridge in Edinburgh and parked in Lower Gilmore Place which runs alongside the water.
