Movie goers are being offered no fewer than 18 world premieres when the Edinburgh International Film Festival begins its 12-day run next week.
Trainspotting director Danny Boyle’s musical comedy based on a world without the Beatles will be debuted at next month’s Edinburgh International Film Festival where he will also be talking about his career and his new project with music mogul Alan McGee.
Game of Thrones is cancelled. Yes, you read that right. Not prematurely and actually cancelled like Joss Whedon’s Firefly, but metaphorically cancelled by a horde of tantrum throwing fans online. They don’t like the last season. It is awful, a disappointment, an affront to everything they decided the show should be.
Everything has led to this. Like Game Of Thrones, Marvel’s first generation has reached the Endgame. Years and months of speculation, fan theories and disgruntled gripes are over because the latest (and last, at least of this current team) Avengers movie is out.
Film Fest in the City will return to St Andrew Square Garden in Edinburgh this summer with free screenings of some of last year’s hit releases.
