Legal services firm Vialex is throwing its support behind a competition pitching businesses against each other on the sports field.
It is sponsoring a touch rugby tournament that will feature more than 30 teams from Edinburgh’s business community.
The Vialex Edinburgh Touch Rugby League kicks off at Inverleith Park on Wednesday (9th). Matches will be played in three divisions over 10 weeks.
More than 400 players will take part, representing companies such as Diageo and Baillie Gifford.

Keith Dinsmore, a director at Vialex who is playing for Va-Va Vialex, said: “It is very much an opportunity for people to get together and participate in a socially inclusive format of the game and in a fantastic setting.
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring the league for a second year and thrilled to see so many returning and new participants.”
Vialex, based in Edinburgh’s west end commercial district, is building a substantial presence in the corporate deal market, having advised on a number of high profile transactions in recent months.
It acted as lead sell-side legal adviser in the sale of Endura, the Livingston-based cyclewear business, to Pentland Brands, the owner of brands such as Berghaus, Speedo and Canterbury.
It also acted for the partners of Springfords in relation to the sale of the business to the Baldwin Group, and advised the shareholders of Spencerfield Spirit Company, owner of Edinburgh Gin, on its sale to Ian MacLeod Distillers.
